Things threaten to wear a little thin before a couple of excellent twists closer to the end—actually, it’s all twist once the film’s three principles start running into earlier and later versions of themselves in this clever-clever time-travel comedy—but The Infinite Man succeeds on its arch wit, great dialogue, and a disarming performance from Josh McConville as an egghead trying to win back his girl. As a bunch of gonzo metaphors for the things we do for love, its variety is also infinite.
